Job summary

Mid-Cape Home Centers is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors with the sales process, take orders over the counter, and process payments in a retail setting. The role supports merchandise inquiries, pricing, and order fulfillment across our Cape Cod and South Shore locations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and contractors with merchandise queries and pricing.
• Process sales at the register and accept payment by cash, check, card, or vouchers.
• Provide product recommendations, answer inquiries, and schedule deliveries or installations as needed.
• Maintain showroom appearance, stock levels, and accurate records in the computer system.
• Prepare invoices, work orders, and sales tickets; update pricing and data accordingly.
