Job summary

Homewood & Meeks, a Division of US LBM, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors with the sales process in a retail environment. You will take orders over the counter, answer questions, and receive payment for customer orders.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and the ability to work with POS systems. Training and ongoing development are provided; typical schedule includes weekend work in a fast-paced showroom.

Qualifications

• Requires customer service focus and ability to assist with merchandise questions.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail for accurate transactions.
• Able to multi-task across sales floor, register, and stock areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions regarding merchandise, location, pricing and promotions.
• Process sales at cash register and accept payment methods.
• Provide product pricing, quotations, and schedule deliveries/installs as needed.
• Prepare invoices and sales tickets; enter orders into the computer system.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock levels; assist with inventory.
• Attend training to increase knowledge of product offerings and processes.
