Job summary

Homewood & Meeks, a Division of US LBM, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors in a retail setting in Gardnerville, NV. You will take orders, answer questions, and process payments at the counter.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of building materials sales, a High School diploma or GED, and strong customer service, math, and computer skills. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with questions and merchandise location.
• Process sales at the register and handle payments.
• Provide initial responses to inquiries about pricing, orders, deliveries and installations.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock levels on the floor and in the stockroom.
• Attend training and maintain knowledge of product offerings.
• Create invoices and input orders into the computer system.
• Issue refunds or credits with manager approval when needed.
• Ensure accurate handling of cash and maintain store cleanliness.
