Job summary

The Salvation Army in Birmingham, AL is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine groundskeeping, basic plumbing and carpentry repairs, and general building cleaning to ensure a safe, well-maintained facility. The role requires attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities include floor care, cleaning, and assisting with security of the building and grounds; Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience or an equivalent

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

What We Are Looking For In You: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• and
• Two years of experience in handling minor building and maintenance repairs and good skill in the use of hand and power tools,
• or
• any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid State Driver’s License is required
