POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center serving over 150,000 guests annually. The Building Maintenance Tech Staff Housing Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing all aspects of Estes Park Centers staff housing, especially Glacier Lodge, the year-round staff housing neighborhood. The role involves ongoing building and grounds maintenance, with additional work in seasonal staff housing and guest accommodations as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Serve as the primary maintenance contact for Glacier Lodge maintenance and repairs.
2. Plan and prioritize projects and work schedules.
3. Perform repairs and maintenance using plumbing, heating, electrical, and carpentry skills.
4. Maintain grounds and landscaping.
5. Requisition parts, materials, and tools needed for tasks.
6. Communicate effectively with staff and management.
7. Hold a valid, state-issued driver’s license and adhere to YMCA driving policies.
8. Maintain stamina to work in various environments.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least two years of experience in facility maintenance.
2. Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
3. Excellent public relations, time management, and organizational skills.
4. Fluent in English with good hearing and eyesight.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands include working from ladders, scaffolding, roofs, crawl spaces, and attics; standing, bending, and working with arms overhead; heavy lifting up to 100 pounds; and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Employees are accountable for all duties and responsibilities associated with this role.
