FirstService Residential is hiring an Onsite Building Maintenance Technician to support 8,500 properties across the United States and Canada. This full-time role ensures mechanical systems and common areas are well-maintained, with duties ranging from basic handyman tasks to safety and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred and two years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of iPhone and applications is desirable for on-site tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building(s).
• Assesses repair needs and estimated time for repairs; determine need for professional assistance.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for proper operation.
• Routinely walks floors and roofs to identify issues and reports to supervision.
• Performs painting of common areas and touch-ups as needed.
• Completes daily work orders and maintains assigned equipment.
