Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking skilled Building Maintenance Technicians in Columbus, OH. The role involves maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems, along with general building upkeep and site improvements.

Occasional on-call support is required to ensure operations and safety. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years in related trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Repair, install and operate various building systems per industry standards and codes.
• Monitor and communicate with others (contractors) engaged in maintenance, construction and operation activities.
• Ensure work complies with contract terms and safety, security, environmental, and conduct rules.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks and assist with snow removal, storm cleanup, lawn maintenance, spill cleanup and inventory management.
• Procure parts and materials in a cost-effective manner; maintain inspection records and submit reports as required.
