Pinch A Penny, a POOLCORP Company, is seeking a Facilities Technician in Clearwater to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve building systems and equipment. You will support daily facility operations, perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and assist with general building upkeep under the Facilities Manager.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a Florida driver’s license, and basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Experience in facility/building maintenance valued.
• Able to read manuals, schematics and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Responds to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Maintains doors, locks, flooring, ceilings, walls and office furniture.
• Monitors facility systems and reports deficiencies.
• Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintains maintenance logs, work orders and inventory records.
• Ensures safety regulations and OSHA standards are met.
• Assists with office moves, event setup and workspace modifications.
• Operates maintenance tools, equipment and vehicles safely.

This role supports daily facility operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with general building upkeep.On a daily basis our Building Maintenance Technician:Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.Responds promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.Maintains and repairs doors, locks, flooring, ceilings, walls, and office furniture.Monitors facility systems for proper operation and report deficiencies.Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.Maintains maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.Ensures compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.Assists with office moves, event setup, and workspace modifications.Operates maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.Supports cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage rooms.Participates in after-hours or on-call maintenance coverage when required.What You Will Need:High School Diploma/ GED or Equivalent.Technical certification or trade school training are preferred.Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.Clean background and Florida Driver’s License.2+ years of facility maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Good communication and customer service skills.Looking to work for the best in the industry?Since opening its first store in 1975, Pinch A Penny, A POOLCORP Company, has become the largest franchised retail pool, patio and spa company.
