Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to keep facilities safe, efficient, and well-maintained in Washington, DC. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting and a strong background in building systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, coordinate with outside contractors, maintain repair logs, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnosing equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities, with physical lifting capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems.

Building Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to help keep its facilities safe, efficient, and well-maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and extensive building maintenance experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests; inspect facilities for safety hazards and complete necessary corrective work.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs while ensuring all work meets company safety and maintenance standards.
• Maintain tools and supply inventory, document completed repairs, and keep accurate maintenance logs.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to independently diagnose and repair equipment and building systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying conditions.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience coordinating or working alongside outside contractors on specialized maintenance projects.
• Experience maintaining detailed repair records, maintenance logs, tools, and parts inventories.

Pay Rate Range - 29-30 per hour
