Position Summary

Inspects, maintains, and repairs Metzgers buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. Performs routine building maintenance tasks and general ground cleaning/maintenance.

Responsibilities Include

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, developing effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identifying potential hazards and maintenance needs.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance, including but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance.
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Order parts and maintain required documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Able to understand and apply basic mathematical principles and use a calculator and technology as required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Works with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a box truck.
