JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising the maintenance of County buildings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the building maintenance work group and oversees general building maintenance activities, including the repair and replacement of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and sprinklers systems.
- Supervise full-time employees.
- Surveys and resolves building problems; conducts routine facility / systems inspections.
- Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
- Support facility related projects.
- Manage MMS (PM & WO) system.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience in a related field of work.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The work is light work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion, sitting, standing, and walking. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work is typically performed in an office and outdoors. The employee is exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and occasional cold or inclement weather. The work may require protective devices, such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
