Performance Foodservice in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems, ensuring safety and quality while keeping production flowing. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on maintenance expertise within a warehouse/production setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in warehouse or production environments.
• Experience in foodservice industry maintenance preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and issue resolution.
• Guide maintenance crew to meet safety regulations, quality standards, and budget.
• Coordinate maintenance work and provide trainee training; cover breaks as needed.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and installations of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Maintain, repair and install facilities, buildings, and grounds per schedule and in emergencies.
• Complete reports and paperwork; keep maintenance area clean; ensure equipment security.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies.

Position Summary

Supervises the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and installations of refrigeration systems, coolers, air compressors, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and apparatus, basic maintenance, repairs and installations tools and equipment, as well as maintain, replace, build, adjust and modify the facilities, buildings and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations. Observes all safety regulations and ensures quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Coordinates Maintenance work. Provides Maintenance Trainee training. Relieves Maintenance personnel for breaks. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.

• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area clean. Secure all equipment, as needed. Complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or

Equivalent Experience

• 3 - 5 years experience
• Warehouse and / or production environment experience.
• Experience in maintenance warehouse and / or production environment within foodservice industry preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation

$55,600 - $79,300; 20% bonus opportunity on base salary
