Job summary

Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - DoubleTree by Hilton is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to keep the property fully functional, safe, and guest-ready. You will oversee the upkeep, perform routine preventive tasks, and respond to emergencies as they arise.

The role requires 2–4 years in maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with facilities management software. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to coordinate with hotel staff and ensure a five-star

Qualifications

• Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed
• Driver’s license and clean driving record is mandatory
• Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required
• You will need 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role

Responsibilities

• Operate various tools like wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and other maintenance equipment
• Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines
• React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts
• Collaborate with other personnel who will help you with maintenance tasks
• Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria
