Job summary

The Trade Hotel Milwaukee, proudly managed by NCG Hospitality, is hiring a Building Maintenance Assistant. Starting pay is $18-$22/hour, with higher wages possible for experienced candidates.

Flexible weekend availability and both morning and evening shifts are required. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive maintenance, assist with grounds and pool areas, and ensure safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred, but not required.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
• Ability to use common power and hand tools safely.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and support upkeep of the property.
• Perform guest room preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings, and parking areas.
• Assist in pool, spa, and general area maintenance per local codes and brand standards.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Our detail-oriented Building Maintenance Assistant responds to maintenance requests, and supports the overall upkeep of the property.

• Performs guest room preventative maintenance duties such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks and HVAC cleaning
• Maintains the grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner
• Assists in maintaining pool, spa and general area of the property according to specific local codes and brand standards
• Promptly responds to reports of guest problems and concerns

What Success Looks Like

• Prior hotel, building or apartment maintenance experience is desirable, but not necessary
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction
• Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools
• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time and error free
• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
