Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Glendale Westgate is seeking a Building Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Phoenix area. This role supports hotel upkeep, responds to maintenance requests, and upholds brand standards across guest rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
• Ability to operate common power and hand tools.
• Shift availability includes 6am-2:30pm and 2pm-10pm, 5 days per week, including weekends.
• Prior hotel/building/apartment maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and support property upkeep.
• Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms (painting, detectors checks, HVAC cleaning).
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings, and parking areas.
• Assist in pool, spa, and general area upkeep per local codes and brand standards.
• Promptly respond to guest reports and concerns.

How You'll Make An Impact

Our detail-oriented Building Maintenance Assistant responds to maintenance requests, and supports the overall upkeep of the property.

• Performs guest room preventative maintenance duties such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks and HVAC cleaning
• Maintains the grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner
• Assists in maintaining pool, spa and general area of the property according to specific local codes and brand standards
• Promptly responds to reports of guest problems and concerns

What Success Looks Likes

• Prior hotel, building or apartment maintenance experience is desirable, but not necessary
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction
• Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools
• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time and error free
• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
