Building Intelligence Project Manager

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a qualified Building Automation Project Manager to join our Building Intelligence Group of Arch Energy. This role involves managing all aspects of building automation system projects, ensuring successful implementation, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets. Responsibilities include planning, design, installation, configuration, testing, and project handover, while maintaining customer satisfaction and managing project challenges.


Required Skills
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for BMS installations.
  • Recognize and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
  • Review, generate, and approve contract documentation.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor team progress.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Understand BMS system architecture, components, and functionalities.
  • Select appropriate BMS hardware and software based on project needs.
Additional Skills and Responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders, team members, and contractors.
  • Manage project expectations and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct project status meetings and provide financial overviews.
  • Forecast manpower and financial needs for project planning.
  • Support engineering submittals, schedules, and equipment tracking.
  • Verify equipment wiring requirements and ensure installation accuracy.
  • Support subcontractor efforts, manage invoicing, change orders, and manpower.
  • Oversee system configuration, programming, and commissioning documentation.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate project progress and issues.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reports.
  • Document scope or design changes and support training for building operators.
  • Provide technical assistance and validate system functionality.
  • Perform site-specific training and ensure smooth handover to operators.
  • Physical requirements include lifting 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
Required Experience
  • Minimum two-year technical degree in engineering, building automation, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality control.
  • 7 to 9 years of related experience in building automation systems, preferably Niagara systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of programming languages from vendors like Johnson Controls, ALC, Siemens, Distech, Honeywell.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, with a strong understanding of HVAC and building automation systems.
  • Commitment to safety standards and training.
  • Strong computer, financial management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and exercise independent judgment.
