The Insurance Department of the State of Georgia is seeking a Building Inspector- Manufactured Housing to inspect manufactured housing retailers in North GA or Middle GA, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.

Under general supervision, you will inspect retailer premises, verify certificates and review records, investigate complaints, and provide code-compliance training to dealers and local officials. Daily reports and activity planning are part of the role.

Qualificações

Job Description:

Field Position

Under general supervision, the Building Inspector performs inspections of manufactured homes retailers for compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations and standards to ensure safety and compliance. This position also investigates complaints under the jurisdiction of the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire.

Inspect the installation of manufactured housing units for an assigned region of the state of Georgia.

Inspect retailer dealer premises, verify validity of operating certificates and review records sales, inventory, performance logs, etc.

Investigate complaints of building and safety code violations for installation of manufactured housing units.

Receives general administrative direction on routine assignments and complex assignments.

Provide assistance and training on code compliance to retail dealers and local officials.

Prepares and submits activity and inspection reports daily.

Plans and schedules work activities to achieve departmental goals.

Maintain specialized state issued equipment and vehicles upon receipt.

Perform other duties as assigned.
