It supports a four-level progression, with required certifications and growth through grading levels. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus ICC residential inspector certifications and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ICC Certification: Combination Residential Inspector (4 certifications must be obtained; 2 of 4 within 12 months).
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Two years of experience required for Building Inspector I; progression to higher levels with more experience.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect residential and commercial buildings for compliance with City codes and plans.
• Read and interpret building plans and codes; enforce ordinances.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection logs; respond to public inquiries and complaints.
