Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an inspector or journeyman in the building trades or building construction.
• Certification as an inspector by a recognized organization (e.g., ICC) is preferred.
• Ability to work on computer databases and permit/land-use management tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and structures for compliance with codes and laws across construction stages.
• Explain code requirements to the public, builders, and other county personnel.
• Perform related duties as required across inspector levels.
