Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inspector experience for Building Inspector I.
• 5–8 years of inspector experience with ICC certifications for Building Inspector II.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of residential, commercial and industrial buildings to ensure compliance with adopted codes.
• Prepare and maintain written inspection records, letters and reports.
• Coordinate permit-related work and customer service with property owners and contractors.
• Assist in enforcement actions and attend related hearings as needed.
