Job summary

Aoka is seeking a Building Inspector to oversee construction projects, ensure code compliance, and contribute to safety across sites in the Dallas area.

You will inspect projects, review documents, and coordinate with contractors and local authorities, maintaining records and preparing professional reports. The role offers growth toward Senior Inspector roles with company-supported certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspections.
• Current ICC certifications; Texas Plumbing Inspector License (TSBPE) required.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Organized record-keeping and willingness to learn new inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local authorities.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare timely, professional reports.
• Address questions and concerns from clients and contractors, providing expert guidance.
• Participate in training and company initiatives.
