Job summary

Aoka is hiring a Building Inspector to oversee construction projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, ensuring code compliance and safety on site. You’ll review plans, inspect work, and guide contractors while delivering thorough reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of building inspection experience.
• Current ICC certifications; Texas TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License required.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Organized record-keeping and willingness to learn new inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local authorities.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare timely, professional reports.
• Address questions and concerns from clients and contractors, providing expert guidance.
• Participate in training and company initiatives.
