Job summary

Aoka is seeking a Building Inspector who will oversee construction projects, ensuring safety and code compliance across DFW. You will inspect plans, review documents, and coordinate with contractors and authorities to maintain high standards of quality.

With 2+ years of field experience and active ICC certifications (Texas license preferred), you will contribute to continuous improvement and professional growth while benefiting from competitive pay, generous benefits, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspections.
• Current ICC certifications; Texas TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License required.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Organized record-keeping and willingness to learn new inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local authorities.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare timely, professional reports.
