<p>Rise People is seeking a Building/Fire Official (Level 1 or 2) to support the municipality’s building and fire inspection program in Maryland. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, participate in compliance reviews, and provide technical support while maintaining professional associations.</p><p>Ideal applicants should have a minimum of five years in municipal inspections, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a full-time, permanent position.</p>

Rate of Pay: Level 1 – Pay Band 4: $62,333.44 – $78,454.16; Level 2 – Pay Band 5: $69,856.44 – $88,126.59
The County of Annapolis is seeking a Building/Fire Official to join our team. This role supports the municipality’s building and fire inspection program, including inspections, plan reviews, compliance matters and policy reviews, and provides technical support on complex matters. The position also involves reviewing application files for compliance with the Building Bylaw and relevant codes and regulations, responding to inquiries and complaints, and supporting the Director of Planning and Inspection Services with research and reporting. The official maintains membership in relevant professional associations and participates in department meetings and stakeholder communications.
