Tiello in Houston, TX is seeking a Commercial Building Exteriors / Waterproofing Estimator with 1–5 years of estimating experience to join our growing team. You will prepare estimates for waterproofing, building envelope, façade, and restoration projects, review drawings and specs, perform takeoffs, develop pricing, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate bids.

• Ability to review blueprints, specs, and construction documents.

Responsabilités

• Prepare estimates for commercial waterproofing, building envelope, façade, and restoration projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs; develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Estimate scopes including waterproofing, coatings, sealants, concrete repair, masonry restoration, and related building envelope systems.
• Participate in jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and site walks.
• Evaluate existing building conditions and identify project requirements.
• Obtain and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing; prepare proposals, bid packages, exclusions, and scope clarifications.
• Identify potential scope gaps, project risks, and constructability concerns.
• Work with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams for accurate handoffs; track bid opportunities and deadlines.

Position: Commercial Building Exteriors / Waterproofing Estimator

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $60,000 – $85,000.00

Tiello is looking for a Commercial Building Exteriors / Waterproofing Estimator to join a growing team in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–5 years of experience in commercial waterproofing, building envelope, restoration, or specialty construction who wants to continue developing their estimating career.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands construction drawings and specifications, and has experience with takeoffs, pricing, and estimating across commercial exterior building systems.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare estimates for commercial waterproofing, building envelope, façade, and restoration projects
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
• Estimate scopes including waterproofing, coatings, sealants, concrete repair, masonry restoration, façade restoration, and related building envelope systems
• Participate in jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and site walks
• Evaluate existing building conditions and identify project requirements
• Obtain and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare proposals, bid packages, exclusions, qualifications, and scope clarifications
• Identify potential scope gaps, project risks, and constructability concerns
• Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams to ensure accurate project handoffs
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, addenda, and project requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, building owners, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors

What We’re Looking For

• 1–5 years of construction estimating or related project experience
• Experience in commercial waterproofing, building envelope, façade restoration, concrete restoration, masonry restoration, or specialty construction preferred
• Experience reviewing blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and develop project pricing
• Understanding of labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Exposure to below-grade waterproofing, traffic coatings, deck coatings, air barriers, joint sealants, expansion joints, fluid-applied membranes, façade restoration, concrete repair, masonry repair, and protective coatings is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating/takeoff software
• Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, The EDGE, or similar platforms is a plus
