Job summary

Walker Consultants in San Francisco, CA is seeking an experienced building envelope consultant to lead design, evaluation, and consulting for below-grade waterproofing systems, exterior walls and fenestration, plazas and roofing assemblies on diverse projects.

Supported by senior staff, you will conduct condition assessments, develop repair schemes, produce construction documents, and perform field investigations while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture from ABET-accredited program.
4+ years of building envelope and waterproofing experience.
Knowledge of exterior systems and materials (facades, roofing, waterproofing, windows).
Experience with new construction and evaluation of existing structures.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform field investigations.
Ability to supervise staff and manage client relationships.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform investigations and report findings.
Develop repair schemes and cost opinions.
Produce building envelope construction documents.
Provide construction administration and site observations.
Meet with architects, contractors, clients to review progress and recommendations.
Support peer reviews and quality checks.
Participate in field investigations and testing.
Monitor budgets and schedules.
Assist with RFQ/RFP responses and business development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
