Thornton Tomasetti, a global engineering and design firm, seeks an Associate in Restoration & Renewal to lead complex renovation projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and mentor staff. You will apply advanced building envelope and architectural expertise to deliver resilient outcomes and expand client relationships.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Architecture, licensure as an Architect, and 8+ years in renovation/restoration/adaptive reuse. Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional licensure as an Architect is required.
• 8+ years of architectural experience in renovation, restoration, adaptive reuse, or historic preservation projects.
• Demonstrated technical judgment with the ability to guide project approach, scope, and priorities.
• Leadership that inspires others through mentoring, empowerment, and effective communication, while expanding client-facing presence.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As an Associate in our Restoration & Renewal Practice, you will lead complex projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and expand client relationships. You will combine advanced building envelope and architectural expertise with strategic leadership to enhance project outcomes, advance firm initiatives, and guide projects involving renovation, restoration, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. What You’ll Bring

Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $118,000 - $150,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
