Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time Building Engineering Worker to assist the Engineering Manager in keeping arena systems in top condition. You will support HVAC, electrical and plumbing tasks, minor repairs, and building automation learning, while helping with event-related needs.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work will be indoors and outdoors, with day and night shifts as events require.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring proper operation of all building equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing systems and lighting.
• Carry out minor repairs of kitchen and food service equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance of building systems.
• Assist with building automation system learning and management.
• Conduct minor vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Assist with inventory control of supplies and parts.
• Coordinate with Engineering Manager for upkeep of equipment and surfaces.
• Support other departments during events as needed.

POSITION: Building Engineering Worker DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager FLSA STATUS: Part-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt Summary Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening Building Engineering Worker for Legends Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Building Engineering Worker works with the Engineering Manager to ensure all building equipment is in proper working order, and assists the Operations department with other assigned tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in ensuring proper operation of all building equipment
• Perform routine maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing systems, minor electrical, exhaust fans/motors, lighting systems, etc.
• Minor repairs of kitchen and food service equipment
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance of building systems
• Ability to learn and manage building automation system
• Minor vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance
• Research of supplies/parts and materials and inventory control of stock items
• Upkeep and maintenance of building equipment with coordination of Engineering Manager.
• Assist and facilitate maintenance of wall and surface finishes to include drywall and masonry / painted and applied finishes
• Interpret company policies and safety regulations according to MSDS/OSHA safety
• Assist with ongoing event needs
• Assist other departments/operations with related tasks as needed.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required

Skills and Abilities

• Must have strong organization & communications skills, ability to prioritize & multitask, and be self-motivated.
• Position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climbing carrying, stooping, crawling, and equipment operation. This position requires work both indoors and out and is subject to adverse conditions.
• Must be able to work day and night hours as dictated by event/work schedules

Physical Demands

• Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
• Ability to perform normal lifting of stock, up to 50 pounds
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events
