Position: Construction Engineer II

Location: Irvine, CA

Onsite Requirement: Hybrid

24 Initial Month Contract, potential to extend up to 30 months

Description:

Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years

  • Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects.
  • Provide financial management of projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including.
  • Daily activities include schedule and financial management as well as interfacing with vendors via calls and meetings.
  • Must have attention to detail, sense of urgency and wireless network (cell site) construction experience as well as technical aptitude with computers to navigate tools.
  • Manage construction for macro builds, small cells and mod projects throughout the Southern California area.
  • Create bid packages and manage the RFP process.
  • Request and manage purchase orders.
  • Review, approve and process change orders.
  • Manage general contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within the budget.
  • Submit regulatory filings as it relates to cell site construction.
  • Manage project trackers.
  • Provide regular status updates to management.
  • Work with A/Es, Real Estate, Utility Coordinators, City Inspectors, Field Operations and RF Engineers.
  • Visit job sites regularly, conduct bid walks, conduct pre-cons with Landlords and GCs, conduct utility walks and pre-walks as necessary.
  • Must report to the Irvine office minimum twice a week.
  • Additional trips to the Irvine office may be required for face-to-face meetings as necessary.
  • Attend regular calls to discuss project status.
