Job description

Building Engineer - Fulltime - Days - Jackson

Under minimal leadership, be responsible for the safe and economical maintenance and operation of all facets of building maintenance. Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC and mechanical equipment; interface with patients, co-workers, and other licensed engineering personnel in the maintenance of various HFH campus buildings. Obtain the training required for existing and new equipment and participate in Quality Improvement teams when necessary. Work as teams with other trades as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Third (3rd) class refrigeration license.
• Journeyman HVAC mechanical license.
• Electrical Journeyman license.
• Boiler High-pressure license or above.
• Journeyman plumbing with heating/cooling experience of three (3) years.
• A minimum of one (1) of the above with five to eight (5-8) years of experience in maintenance of a large industrial or institutional facility.
