Job summary

Mirabella at Arizona State University in Tempe seeks a Building Engineer to maintain our community's buildings, systems, and equipment, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will inspect, maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical and access control systems, respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative work, and document activities. Salary ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 per year, DOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance, engineering, HVAC, MEP, or related skilled trade.
• Trade certifications or HVAC certification preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, access control, and related equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests, alarms, emergencies, and system issues promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance and specialized repairs for safe operations.
• Assist with emergency response while following safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

We are seeking a Building Engineer to help maintain our community's buildings, systems, and equipment while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and team members.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, access control, and related equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests, community alarms, emergency calls, and building system issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and highly specialized repairs to support safe and efficient community operations.
• Assist with emergency response efforts, including fire alarms and other urgent situations, while following established safety procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and team members while maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 / annually DOE

About You

• Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance, engineering, HVAC, MEP, or a related skilled trade.
• Trade certifications, HVAC certification, or Universal Recovery License preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems maintenance.
• Ability to read specifications, plans, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills with experience using maintenance software and related technology.
