Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Building Engineer in Santa Teresa, NM to maintain and repair the buildings' mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Fleet vehicle provided, you will handle preventative maintenance, respond to client requests, and manage work orders to minimize downtime.

You will bring 2–5 years of maintenance experience, a CFC certification or the ability to obtain one, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineer experience.
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Flexibility to be on-call to respond to after-hours / weekend emergency requests.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and other necessary maintenance on building mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Respond to client requests, prioritize work orders, complete tasks, and follow up to minimize downtime and ensure clear communication.
• Schedule, coordinate and execute repairs and routine maintenance with vendors and internal teams as needed.
• Support after-hours on-call requests as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and safety checks.

About you

As the Building Engineer (fleet vehicle provided), you are familiar with maintenance systems and equipment. You bring strong organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, and a positive outlook to everything you do. You’ll be responsible for preventative maintenance, necessary maintenance, and most repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring the systems are running efficiently – and to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties. You will respond to client requests, prioritize, complete work orders, and follow up to ensure minimal downtime and communication.

What you’ll bring
