Job summary

ABM US is seeking a Building Engineer to lead a team of maintenance technicians responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of critical facility systems at Waymo locations in San Francisco.

The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient and continuous facility operations, with duties including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections and supporting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of critical facility systems.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct building inspections and support safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate maintenance tasks across HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Monitor system performance and respond to failures to minimize downtime.
• Inspect buildings for safety compliance and coordinate with safety teams.

Job description

The Building Engineer is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians in the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facility systems across Waymo locations. Operating within a fast-paced environment, the Building Engineer oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility operations. Key duties include conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, performing building inspections, and supporting overall facility operations and safety standards.

Pay:$40/HR to $46/HR

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’sexperience, skills, abilities, geographic location,and alignment with market data.
