Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Building Engineer to lead a team of maintenance technicians across Waymo locations. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility operations.

The role includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and supporting overall facility safety standards. The position offers an hourly rate in a broad range with potential incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance team.
• Strong understanding of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to read blueprints and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians in operation, maintenance and repair of critical facility systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement timely repairs.
• Support safety standards and building operations to ensure continuous facility functioning.
• Assist with inspections and coordination of facility improvements.

Job description

The Building Engineer is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians in the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facility systems across Waymo locations. Operating within a fast-paced environment, the Building Engineer oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility operations. Key duties include conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, performing building inspections, and supporting overall facility operations and safety standards.

Hourly Rate: $27.47-$43.16/hr

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
