Willco Ltd in Potomac, MD is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer who can manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks. The role requires self-motivation, good customer relations, and flexibility to cover shifts, including Sundays.

A CFC license is preferred and experience with maintenance scheduling is expected. You will maintain equipment records, respond to tenant requests, perform routine repairs, use blueprints and manuals, and adhere to safety procedures under the supervision

Qualifications

• 3-5 years training in facilities management and engineering.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs., climb ladders, walk for extended periods.
• Willing to cover any shift Sunday through Saturday; strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure proper start up/shut down of operating equipment.
• Resolve tenant HVAC, electrical, plumbing requests promptly and courteously.
• Provide quality service to tenants and ensure satisfaction.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment systems.
• Use blueprints, drawings and manuals to carry out duties.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
• Report pending work items to the Property Manager.

Salary Range: $30.00 To $35.00 Hourly

Position Title: Building Maintenance Engineer

Reports to: Vice President of Property Management

FLSA: Non Exempt

Summary

Qualified candidate should be a self starter, problem solver, have good customer relations skills and able to work overtime as needed. Ideal candidate will have a CFC license. Candidate must be willing to cover any shift Sunday thru Saturday. This candidate has to be a good communicator with both written and verbal skills. The position also requires basic HVAC skill as well as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment data, records and maintenance schedules for all major items/systems of equipment.
• Ensure proper start up/shut down of operating equipment at the beginning/end of each operating day
• Perform duties resolving tenant HVAC complaints; electrical, plumbing other tenant requests
• Ensure problems are resolved promptly and courteously; give priority of effort to providing quality service to tenants and ensuring satisfaction
• Perform required repairs and preventative maintenance to equipment systems
• Use blueprints, drawings and manuals to carry out various duties
• Utilize established safety rules, regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Report all pending items of work held over to next day
• Report all critical items to Property Manager for further direction
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Education: Candidate will have 3-5 years training in facilities management and engineering.

2. Experience: Qualified candidate should be a self starter, problem solver, have good customer relations skills and able to manage 2-3 personnel. This candidate has to be a good communicator with both written and verbal skills. Organizational skills a must!

3. Physical Requirements: Able to lift over 50 lbs., climb ladders, walk for extensive periods of time.
