Job summary

Job description

Our Building Engineer will provide direct assistance to the lead engineer and other assistant building maintenance engineers in the repair and maintenance of rooftop units, heat pumps, fire & jockey pumps, fire panel, on‑site generators, electrical closets, and the entire building envelope across our Corporate Campus. The role also requires assistance to the entire United Services department and with interior buildouts.

Schedule: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain and monitor the building automation system.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on the HVAC systems.
  • Ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment is properly installed and maintained.
  • Inventory critical building maintenance supplies.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform all required physical tasks, including bending, lifting, reaching, and pulling heavy mechanical equipment.
Must Have Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Boiler operations license.
  • HVAC refrigerant license.
  • Centrifugal chiller experience.
  • Fire panel experience.
  • Physical plant experience.
  • Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Detail oriented with satisfactory literacy, writing, documentation, communication, interpersonal abilities, and basic computer skills.
  • Sometimes able to work alone responsibly and without supervision.
  • Meet all legal requirements to work in the United States.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members, vendors, and the public.
Driving Requirements
  • Meet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle.
  • No moving traffic violations set by insurer to drive a company vehicle.
  • No at‑fault accidents in the past three years.
  • No driver’s license denial, suspension, or revocation in the last three years.
  • No DUI convictions in the past three years.
