Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer for a large Class A office building in Kennesaw, GA. You will operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems under the Chief Engineer, ensuring efficient operations and tenant satisfaction.

The role requires 2 years of building engineering experience, a valid driver's license, and availability for weekend and after-hours work.

Qualifications

• 2 years of technical building engineering experience (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Must possess valid DL
• Ability to work overtime on weekends and after hours for emergencies

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC and MEP systems.
• Maintain positive tenant relations with prompt, courteous response to requests.
• Assist in on-call emergency coverage and building operations.
• Support safety and environmental compliance with laws and codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders.
• Assist in parts ordering, stocking, and inventory as directed.

BUILDING ENGINEER

Location: Town Park Ravine, Kennesaw, GA

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety equipment and systems in a large Class A office building and obtaining the most efficient operating results and life expectancy, under the guidance and direction of the Chief Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates and maintains all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
• Develops and maintains positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests.
• Operates equipment as necessary within the guidelines set forth by the Chief Engineer to assure proper building functions.
• Maintains professional appearance and manner at all times while in the complex.
• Maintains calm demeanor in emergency situations.
• Assists in complying with all City, State and Federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations.
• Performs general maintenance and limited operations of the HVAC and MEP equipment under the supervision and direction of the Chief Engineer.
• Assists in the ordering, stocking and inventory of parts and supplies as directed by the Chief Engineer.
• Induces water treatment chemicals in the heating and cooling systems at the proper amounts and times.
• Performs chemical analysis tests as set forth by the supervisor, reporting any abnormalities and substandard results
• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on building and tenant mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

• 2 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering (HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, repair and maintenance and overall system design and application).
• Must possess valid DL.
