Job summary

Able Services is seeking a Building Engineer to manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems. You will help ensure safe, efficient facility operations and responsive service for tenants and stakeholders.

You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, monitor BAS/BMS, and coordinate with vendors. Strong problem-solving and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years of building maintenance or engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with BAS/BMS is preferred.
  • Certifications such as EPA, HVAC, or Journeyman license are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS/BMS).
  • Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and identify potential issues.
  • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability efforts.
  • Assist with emergency response and after-hours issues as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical and work areas.

Job description

The Building Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment. This role ensures the facility is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while providing a high level of service to tenants and stakeholders.

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00/hour.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities:
