Farbman Group seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building systems for residents, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment in Birmingham, AL.

You will perform routine inspections, respond to service requests, coordinate with vendors, keep records, and assist with unit turns while adhering to safety standards and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of residential or multifamily property maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliance repair.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, including in occupied units.
• Familiarity with safety standards, OSHA, and housing regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of apartment homes, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.

• Support the overall upkeep of the community, including common areas, amenities, and curb appeal.
