ECS Group of Companies in Miami, FL is seeking a Building Enclosure Department Manager to lead inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building envelopes for existing structures. You will guide a multidisciplinary team and drive growth in the local market, with responsibility for staffing, budgets, and client communication.

The role requires a strong technical background, leadership experience, and the ability to mentor engineers, architects, and inspectors while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB) or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a department focused on Building Enclosure services.
• Drive strategic business development initiatives and expand ECS’s presence within the local market.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, architects, inspectors, and technical staff.
• Manage departmental operations, staffing, utilization, and financial performance, including P&L responsibility.
• Oversee projects involving building envelope evaluations, roof and waterproofing assessments, moisture investigations, PCA, forensic investigations, and code compliance inspections.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and clients; support scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
