Job summary

Career Collective in the United States is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience to join a growing consulting engineering team, taking on increasing responsibility on building projects.

You will design electrical systems, prepare drawings and calculations, and coordinate with architects and MEP disciplines; you’ll visit sites and assist construction administration, ensuring code compliance and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of electrical engineering/design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with building electrical systems, including lighting and power.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial and building projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Work on lighting, power distribution, and other building electrical systems.
• Coordinate designs with architects, mechanical, plumbing, and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist with projects from initial design through construction.
• Participate in site visits, field surveys, and construction administration as needed.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
