Job summary

RAND Engineering & Architecture, DPC in Manhattan is seeking a Project Manager for its Building Design Group to lead projects from planning through construction administration.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year Architecture degree, at least 3 years in construction administration, and strong communication skills to manage client relationships and collaborate with designers, engineers, and owners.

Qualifications

  • 4-Year Degree in Architecture.
  • Min. 3 years’ experience in construction administration.
  • New York City construction industry experience is required.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to successfully manage and administer AIA contracts for various project types.
  • Execute and/or assist on multiple projects in all project phases within the project budget.
  • Coordinate Architects, Engineers and Designers to maintain quality of assigned project.
  • Prepare project documents, including meeting minutes, field reports, investigation reports, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Sustain positive client relationships and attend meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Keep current on building codes governing New York City, including historic codes.
  • Project Associate can expect to be in field 25% - 75% of time.
