Job summary

Rand Engineering & Architecture, DPC in New York, NY seeks a Project Associate to oversee diverse projects from investigation through close-out. You will coordinate Architects, Engineers and Designers to ensure quality, cost control and timely delivery, with frequent client engagement.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture or Civil Engineering, 5+ years’ experience, and NY experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
New York experience is required.
5+ years’ experience in related field.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage workload and negotiate priorities.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple project types including facade, roofing and FISP projects.
Execute and assist on projects through all phases: investigation, budgeting, bidding, construction administration and close-out.
Coordinate Architects, Engineers and Designers to maintain quality and efficiency.
Prepare meeting minutes, field reports and cost estimates.
Maintain positive client relationships and communicate issues to senior staff.
Troubleshoot project-specific problems and develop solutions.
Stay current on NYC building codes and historic codes.
Be in the field 25%–75% of the time depending on the week.
