Cadmus is seeking a Building Decarbonization Analyst to join our Energy Services team in New York. This role blends hands-on fieldwork with technical analysis to advance energy efficiency and decarbonization across commercial and industrial facilities.

You'll spend 1–2 days per week in the field performing ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits and data collection, while also supporting engineering desk reviews, energy savings analysis, and M&V activities across projects in the Northeast.

Formación

• 2–4 years of experience in energy services or related field.
• Experience conducting ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits in facilities.
• Strong foundation in building energy systems (lighting, HVAC, etc.)

What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus seeks a Building Decarbonization Analyst to join our Energy Services team. This role is designed for candidates with 2–4 years of experience who are interested in combining hands‑on fieldwork with technical analysis to advance energy efficiency and decarbonization across commercial and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate will spend an average of 1–2 days per week in the field, conducting ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits and field inspections, engaging with facility staff, collecting site data, and identifying opportunities to improve building energy systems. Typical systems include lighting, HVAC, chillers, boilers, controls, and other major end uses. While deep expertise in every system is not expected, a solid foundation in building energy systems is required.

When not in the field, this role will support engineering desk reviews, energy savings analysis, and measurement and verification (M&V) activities across projects in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Desk reviews will include reviewing equipment specifications, engineering calculations, and energy savings estimates. The candidate will also support current M&V efforts through analysis of metered and operational data and implementation of established M&V approaches.

This position provides opportunities to develop experience across a range of energy efficiency and decarbonization projects while working alongside experienced engineers and project teams.
