Job summary

Jobot in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Building Controls Engineer to design, program, commission, and support BAS for commercial clients. You will work closely with project managers, technicians, and customers to deliver reliable, energy-efficient controls solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in building automation or HVAC controls, strong knowledge of HVAC systems and control logic, and experience with BAS platforms (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with building automation or HVAC controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control logic.
• Experience with BAS platforms and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BAS control strategies and sequences of operation.
• Program and configure BAS platforms (Niagara, ALC, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar).
• Create and review control drawings, I/O schedules, and submittals.
• Perform system startup, point-to-point testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and support controls and system integration issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers.
