Faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitating activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles, providing mentorship, interpreting and administering assessments, offering constructive feedback, and integrating technology to enrich educational experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality instruction and facilitate student learning.
  • Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes using creative and innovative techniques.
  • Maintain accurate student records, instructional environment safety, and equipment security.
  • Provide timely and accurate advisement to students and collaborate with the Office of Student Success on retention programs.
  • Act as ambassadors for TSTC, demonstrating the Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.
  • Participate in recruitment events and assist with program planning for recruitment.
  • Demonstrate willingness to serve, exhibit courteous behavior, maintain flexibility (evening, weekend, or summer assignments), and work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
  • Verifiable work experience in Building Construction Trades.
  • Knowledge and ability to use hand tools, power tools, and stationary tools.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, specifications, and construction contracts.
  • Understanding of construction safety, PPE rules, and regulations.
  • Residential and commercial construction practices knowledge.
  • Experience with wood frame, wall frame, roof frame, concrete principles, formwork, placement, and finish.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Residential and commercial interior and exterior finish materials and applications.
  • Estimating and scheduling of construction projects.
  • Job site management and leadership skills, construction contract and project management operations.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • OSHA Trainer Certification.
  • NCCER Core, Carpentry, Site Survey, or Project Management certifications.
Education and Experience

Verifiable and demonstrated experience required.
