Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of higher education in construction, engineering, architecture, building technology, or related field.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial and residential construction, building inspection, code administration, plan review, or closely related work.
• Seven years interpreting and applying International Building Codes and related construction codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead plan review, permitting, inspections, and property maintenance enforcement for Clarksville.
• Manage municipal facilities, budgets, and technical staff.
• Review complex construction plans and present findings to boards and commissions.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with contractors and developers.
