Job summary

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of building construction, codes, and property maintenance standards, and will mentor staff while engaging with boards and developers.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of higher education in construction, engineering, architecture, building technology, or related field.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial and residential construction, building inspection, code administration, plan review, or related work.
• Seven+ years interpreting and applying International Building Codes and related construction codes.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, permitting, inspections, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting, inspections, code enforcement, and facilities management.
• Oversee budgets, projects, and technical staff. Mentor team staff.
• Review construction plans and provide detailed technical comments for designers and contractors.
• Present findings before boards and commissions and collaborate with developers.
