Town of Brookline seeks a Building Commissioner to lead the Building Department and oversee Code Enforcement, Public Buildings, and Capital Projects for Town and School facilities. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory expertise in a dynamic municipal setting.

Qualificações

• Must read and interpret complex plans and regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing budgets and reports for departmental operations.
• Ability to manage and lead a multidisciplinary team across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and direct Building Department operations, including building, electrical, plumbing, gas, and zoning enforcement, as well as Town construction and renovation projects.
• Administer maintenance and repair of all Town and School buildings.
• Collaborate on energy efficiency, environmental hazard mitigation, and sustainable materials practices.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget; present budgets before Town boards and Town Meeting.
