Job summary

ASM Global is seeking a Building/Hospitality Services Associate in Massachusetts to perform routine cleaning across multiple facility areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom upkeep, window cleaning, and proper disposal of recyclables, with adherence to safety and PPE guidelines.

The role requires managing cleaning equipment safely, following OSHA/SDS procedures, and maintaining a professional, neat appearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in similar functions is desirable.
• Must be able to operate power cleaning equipment safely.
• Must read and follow safety instructions including OSHA and SDS.
• Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participates in cleaning rooms and areas: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash disposal.
• Cleans restrooms and restocks supplies.
• Cleans windows inside and outside.
• Assists in separation of recyclables from trash and proper disposal.
• Operates walkie-talkie radio as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in cleaning various rooms and areas of the facility to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping/scrubbing, vacuuming of carpets, removal of trash to proper disposal areas

• Cleans restrooms, restocks/replenishes supplies whenrequired, cleans stains, etc. from carpets and seats

• Cleans windows, both inside and outside of the facility

• Assistsas directed in the separation of recyclables from trash and the proper disposal of these items

• Cleans andmaintainsother equipment and areas as directed

• Operate walkie-talkie radio whenrequired

• Always present a neat and groomed appearance and demeanorduring the workday

Education and/or Experience:

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able tooperateall power equipment in inventory (buffers, wet vacuums, large area vacuums,ride-onscrubber & sweepers, floor machines & carpet extraction machines, etc.) safely and withminimalsupervision.

• Ability to clean andmaintain, including minor repairs, to equipment

• Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions

• Ability to read and understandGHS CHEMICAL SAFETY PROGRAM &SDS sheets to use required chemicals in a safe and proper manner

• Capable of working safely from ladders and small liftsif/as needed to complete assigned tasks

• Ability to understand & complete OSHA BBP Training requirement & follow the process whenrequiredin cleaning up certain spills etc.

• Qualified tooperatevarious typesof large, powered cleaning equipment is a plus (floor scrubber, buffers, sweepers & carpet extraction units) or be capable of completing required training tooperatesuch equipment.Driver’sLicense Required.

• Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening,weekendsand holidays, as needed

• Must be able to read,writeand speak in English.Must be able to completetrainingsand pass all testing requirements.

• Must have professional attitude and appearance

• Must be at least 18 years old

This position requires lifting at least60 lbs. withoutassistance.This position requireswalking and standing for most of the assigned shift, as well as bending and stooping.These tasks may be performed in adverse conditions at times (loud noise, dust, inclementweather,and moving vehicles may be present).Ability to work off ladders, scaffolding, lifts, asrequired.The position also requires climbing and descending steps/stairways with needed equipment to complete cleaning tasks assigned.
